But Darren is an amazing hygienist he’s SO patient and gives practical advice to improve your oral health. He respects the anxiousness and always offers to give a break, which is highly appreciated ! And Dr Kiran is EPIC! Gentle hands and kind, matches your anxiousness with a careful pace , highly recommend her for fillings and regular check ups. She has also treated my husband for TMJ. After a lot of consideration and multiple opinions we are grateful to have gone with her as she has been so good at every step. So if you’re unfortunate to have bigger problems than just fillings, she’s fantastic at that too! How long does the procedure take?

The All-on-4 procedure typically takes 2 to 4 hours per arch. Many patients receive their new teeth on the same day or soon after implant placement, which is why it’s often referred to as “teeth in a day.” After this initial surgery, a final, permanent set of teeth is usually fitted 3 to 6 months later, once healing is complete.

Will I need bone grafting?

In most cases, bone grafting is not required for All-on-4 implants. That’s one of the key advantages of this technique — the implants are strategically placed at angles to maximise use of your existing jawbone, even in cases where bone loss has occurred. However, during your consultation at Egham Dental Care, we’ll assess your bone density and determine what’s best for you.

How long do the implants last?

With proper care, All-on-4 dental implants can last 20 years or more. The titanium implants themselves are designed to be permanent. The bridge or denture attached to them may need to be replaced after 10–15 years due to normal wear. Regular check-ups and good oral hygiene are essential for long-term success.

What’s the recovery time?

Initial healing takes about 1 to 2 weeks, during which you may experience mild swelling, bruising, or discomfort. Most patients are able to return to work and normal activities within a few days. Full integration of the implants with your jawbone — called osseointegration — takes around 3 to 6 months.
