Multiple Implants

What Are Multiple Dental Implants?

Multiple dental implants are a permanent solution for replacing several missing teeth using individual titanium implants or implant-supported bridges.

Unlike removable dentures, implants are fixed into the jawbone, providing a strong, stable foundation for natural-looking teeth that function just like your own.

Common Questions About All-on-4

Still have questions?
How long does the procedure take?
The All-on-4 procedure typically takes 2 to 4 hours per arch. Many patients receive their new teeth on the same day as implant placement, which is why it’s often referred to as “teeth in a day.” After this initial surgery, a final, permanent set of teeth is usually fitted 3 to 6 months later, once healing is complete.

In most cases, bone grafting is not required for All-on-4 implants. That’s one of the key advantages of this technique — the implants are strategically placed at angles to maximise use of your existing jawbone, even in cases where bone loss has occurred. However, during your consultation at Egham Dental Care, we’ll assess your bone density and determine what’s best for you.

With proper care, All-on-4 dental implants can last 20 years or more. The titanium implants themselves are designed to be permanent. The bridge or denture attached to them may need to be replaced after 10–15 years due to normal wear. Regular check-ups and good oral hygiene are essential for long-term success.

Initial healing takes about 1 to 2 weeks, during which you may experience mild swelling, bruising, or discomfort. Most patients are able to return to work and normal activities within a few days. Full integration of the implants with your jawbone — called osseointegration — takes around 3 to 6 months

“The whole team made me feel at ease. I can finally eat and smile without worry.”
