Invisalign aligners are made of a special medical grade plastic which has been specially developed by Invisalign for its given purpose. Each aligner has been specifically made for you you and is extremely comfortable to wear.

The dentist/orthodontist must be specially trained to use Invisalign. There are many thousands of dentists and orthodontists available worldwide that are accredited to offer Invisalign as a treatment.

Any age patient can be successfully treated using Invisalign. However it is always prudent to discuss matters with your Invisalign provider to see if your age category is suitable for what the practice offers.

Appointments with the dentist/orthodontist are generally spaced out at the same intervals as with normal braces but are usually less time-consuming due to there being no adjustment of wires and brackets. The Invisalign dentist or orthodontist will discuss intervals based on your individual treatment.

Depending on the complexity of treatment, the treatment time is typically 3 to 12 months. Your dentist or orthodontist will provide you with more information about the expected timescales.

There might be minor discomfort when Invisalign treatment is first started and when a new aligner is inserted. This is due to the additional pressure that the teeth experience while they start to move. This is a sign that the aligners are working properly. The discomfort usually goes away in a day or two into the new aligner.
