The costs associated with dental bridges are dependant on factors such as the number of teeth on the bridge needed, complexity of the placement, the material used for construction and the urgency of placement. Our approach involves customising quotes for individual cases.

The final cost is also dependent on some necessary preparation steps, such as root canal treatment and the reinforcement of the core of the tooth.

Restore Self-Assurance

Dental bridges are, are artificial tooth replacements designed to use durable materials to literally bridge the gap between two supporting teeth either side of a gap. The bridge can be made from a variety of materials depending on the application, location and patient preference. The clinicians at Egham Dental Care are skilled in durable tooth replacement solutions.

It is important to appreciate that the supporting teeth must be of a sufficient strength and volume to be able to anchor the bridge. If it is not, the bridge may have a shorter lifespan. Detail clinical examination using x-rays and high power magnification loupes allow the clinician to assess this. If the neighbouring teeth are not suitable for bridges, alternative tooth replacement options such as implants should be considered. Other situations where alternative tooth replacement options may be considered are if the patient does not want to have the neighbouring teeth to be recontoured.

Comprehensive Procedure Description

Our clinicians at Egham Dental Care are skilled at providing dental bridges. The process starts by identifying spaces with suitable support teeth (abutments) either side of them. The support teeth are assessed for strength and suitability. If required, the teeth are treated and reinforced. Following this the support teeth are carefully recontoured to a shape that is suitable for the bridge. The recontoured teeth are then optically scanned with a intra-oral digital scanner along side the other teeth. This information is sent to the laboratory for manufacture. Temporary crowns or a bridge are fitted onto the support teeth. Two weeks later the final bridge is permanently bonded to the support teeth. The bridge bite is carefully checked. The bridge can be used and cleaned in a similar manner to natural teeth.

  • Step 01: Identification of gaps and potential bridge support teeth
  • Step 02: Reinforcing and correction of support teeth
  • Step 03: Recontouring of support teeth
  • Step 04: High resolution optical scan of recontoured teeth
  • Step 05: Manufacture of custom bridge
  • Step 06: Fit and refinement of bridge
