Porcelain veneers take two appointments to create. In the first appointment, the teeth needing veneers are carefully shaped to accept the future veneer. High accuracy imprints (impressions) are taken and sent to the dental laboratory technician. Our technician is highly skilled in the creation and shaping of the veneers. In order to assist him, the patient is often requested to book an appointment to visit the technician. This allows him to directly discuss fine details and requirements, as well as allowing him to record the proposed colour of the new veneers. The completed veneers are returned back to us two weeks later. They are then bonded to the underlying teeth with a permanent tooth coloured bonding cement.
